Hi everyone, welcome to my blog where I share my insights and tips on being a data analyst and an IT business analyst. In this post, I will tell you a bit about my background, what I do in my current role, and how I balance the two aspects of my job.

I have always been interested in data and technology since I was a kid. I loved playing with numbers, solving puzzles, and tinkering with computers. I studied computer science and statistics in college (University of Sangga Buana Bandung), and then I landed my first job as a data analyst at a large Telco company in Indonesia. There, I learned how to use various tools and techniques to collect, process, analyze, and visualize data from different sources. I also learned how to communicate my findings and recommendations to stakeholders and managers.

After a few years of working as a data analyst, I wanted to expand my skills and knowledge in the IT field. I applied for an IT business analyst position at a consulting firm that specializes in digital transformation projects. I got the job and I was very excited to start a new challenge. As an IT business analyst, I work closely with clients to understand their business needs and goals, and then I translate them into functional and technical requirements for the IT team. I also act as a liaison between the business and the IT side, ensuring that the project is delivered on time, on budget, and with high quality.

One of the most interesting aspects of my job is that I get to use both my data analysis and IT business analysis skills in different situations. Sometimes, I need to analyze data to support the decision-making process or to measure the impact of a project. Other times, I need to design and test solutions that meet the client’s expectations and specifications. I enjoy switching between these two roles because it keeps me motivated and challenged.

Of course, there are also some challenges and difficulties that come with being a data analyst and an IT business analyst. One of them is managing multiple projects and tasks at the same time. I have to prioritize my work and manage my time efficiently to meet deadlines and deliverables. Another challenge is keeping up with the latest trends and technologies in the data and IT fields. I have to constantly learn new skills and tools to stay relevant and competitive. Finally, another challenge is communicating effectively with different audiences and stakeholders. I have to adapt my style and language depending on who I am talking to and what message I want to convey.

Despite these challenges, I love being a data analyst and an IT business analyst because it allows me to combine my passion for data and technology with my interest in solving business problems. It also gives me the opportunity to work on diverse and exciting projects across different industries and domains.
